The ‘Complete Heart MOT’ is a comprehensive private cardiac assessment in London — a structured pathway combining a consultant cardiology consultation, ECG, handheld echocardiogram and key cardiac and metabolic blood tests, all wrapped into a single package with a clear written action plan. It is designed for patients who want a complete picture of their heart health in one go, rather than piecemeal testing, and is delivered personally by Dr Nabila Laskar at our Marylebone clinic. If rhythm monitoring is also needed, the Ultimate ‘Complete Heart MOT’ adds a 7-day Holter monitor.
The Complete Heart MOT is a structured, consultant-led cardiac screening pathway. It combines history-taking, a clinical examination, electrical assessment of the heart (ECG), an ultrasound assessment of structure and function (echocardiogram), and key blood tests including a full lipid profile, HbA1c, kidney and liver function. The results are integrated into a single written report with a personalised, prioritised action plan covering lifestyle, medication and follow-up.
Your visit is a 45-minute consultation, ECG and handheld echocardiogram with Dr Laskar. Blood tests are taken in clinic at the same appointment. Once the bloods are back, a follow-up consultation (in person or by video) is arranged to walk you through the integrated results and your personalised action plan. Most patients complete the whole pathway within 1–2 weeks. If a 7-day rhythm recording is clinically appropriate, we can either add a Holter monitor separately or move you to the Ultimate package.
Allow around 90 minutes for the appointment. Please wear comfortable clothing that opens at the front, and bring a list of any medications you take. There is no need to fast unless we have specifically asked you to. Same-day verbal feedback is given on the ECG and echocardiogram; full integrated results are delivered at the follow-up consultation.

No. A 7-day Holter monitor is included in the Ultimate ‘Complete Heart MOT’ package (£1,199). If you mainly need rhythm monitoring for palpitations or blackouts, the Ultimate package is the better choice.
The appointment takes around 90 minutes. The follow-up consultation usually takes 30 minutes, and most patients complete the whole pathway within 1–2 weeks.
